It all began with a humble onion in rural Lancashire. My family have always been passionate about Nature and gardening, so those genes were already well rooted. One chilly morning, my Father and I, as a young girl, planted an onion seed in our small back garden. My daily ritual was to trot down the garden, plant my hands on my knees and scrutinize That Onion, to inspect for signs of progress…Finally, the magical day dawned when I was granted permission to pull it out of the ground…it was ready. That Onion must have been as big as my 8 year old head! Needless to say, That Onion was cooked, eaten and enjoyed, and the seeds of a future gardener were sewn.
I studied Floristry and Garden Design and in 2001 greensignature was born. It was set-up primarily to offer garden maintenance but later expanded to include a more comprehensive service of Garden Design, Installation for both indoor and outdoor planting schemes and an ongoing maintenance schedule if required.
For me, part of the attraction of greensignature is that our work is really diverse, which keeps it interesting. For example, we may supply a luscious living window box of seasonal Grow your own Veg in a tiny studio flat. Alternatively, at the other end of the spectrum, we are involved in Estate management and the creation of living sculptures.
Greensignature aspires to enhance and revitalise your home and garden by using dynamic and seasonal planting schemes which calmly restore balance, whilst soothing and uplifting the soul.
Traditionally life's occasions have been marked by plants & flowers. Greensignature offers a personal service which specializes in listening very carefully to your needs be it an exciting, happy occasion such as planning your perfect wedding flowers, or choosing a fitting funeral tribute or tree to plant in memory of a loved one. Knowing how to honour and interpret your important occasions with unique personal gifts, displays and tributes, is what makes us stand out from the crowd.
